Mark Weir serves as the Ministerial Director of the Upper Columbia Conference. His role involves ministering to 70+ pastors in this conference and also assisting them in the ongoing efforts to reach men and women with the life impacting reality of the need for a connection with Jesus Christ.
Mark has spent the past 25 plus years serving in the state of Washington in various pastoral roles, most recently in Spokane Valley. He received his bachelor’s degree in Theology from Union College in 1983, his Master of Divinity degree from Andrews University in 1986 and his Doctor of Ministry from Northwest Graduate School (now known as Bakke Theological Seminary) in 2003.
Mark is married to his childhood sweetheart, Judy, who serves as a paralegal. They have three adult children also living in the Spokane area. Hobbies include bird watching, gardening, especially the blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, apples, pears, peaches, apricots, cherries and plums that can be picked from the plants and trees in the yard.
Helping churches and pastors be better equipped to minister to the world we actually live in, not the one of yesterday, is a life passion. Mark also has a passion to help the “next generation” find their place and niche in church life.
